What is fascia and why is it so important?
Fascia is a continuous network of connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs, and structures of the body. More than just a “covering,” it is a living system that influences mobility, posture, and even how we feel within our body.
When it is healthy, it allows fluidity and freedom of movement. When it becomes tense or dehydrated, it can contribute to pain, stiffness, and discomfort.
After a few weeks of having sprained my ankle with a minor fracture, I felt my ability to be active in this world as I knew it, to be affected and the fear has come to teach me how to deal with this every day and to accept and to keep accepting it as days go by.
